Hi! so I am attempting to make a platformer/puzzler game in which you are not supposed to get clears, or at least, not in the way you normally would. The idea as of now is to have clusters of 4-5 alike blocks make a clear which will cost HP/"hearts"/etc., but jumping to a certain height will clear the bottom rows, which will count towards your score.

...But I can't even get to that part of the game yet, because collisions and some other little technical issues. This is what I have so far.

Controls:
Left/Right = move character,
Up = jump,
X = move tetrad left or right,
Down = soft drop,
Z = rotate (not functional yet)

right now, I am using the game object system from bridg's Pico-8 for beginners tutorials. here's the issue - I need the game blocks to fall and leave no gaps, much like in puyo puyo. to do this they need to collide with other blocks that are the same type of game object. when I put it in as normal, the block launches into the air when it's created. I think this is because it is colliding with itself.

Controls:

  • Arrows: Move Chad's tractor
  • Z: Shoot some grain (consumes 0.1 FARM per shot!)
  • X: Speed boost (consumes fuel!)

Goals:

  • Collect some FARM using Chad's trusty tractor and make some gainz!
  • Keep your tractor above a wheat field to collect some FARM
  • Replenish your (bio) fuel by collecting beets
  • Collect green candles (and avoid red ones!) to increase the FARM price

Enemies:

  • Fences will hurt you: avoid them! (you can pass through them though)
  • Crows will steal grain from the fields: be sure to shoot them before that happens!
  • Fox will try to hit you and steal 15% of your FARM stock: avoid them or shoot them!

This is the same as my other sprite tool, but it mirrors left and right and up and down.
So it gives cool quad mirrored images.
Fun for making flags and icons and other thingies.

Basically, the top shows what percent black is likely to occur each sprite.
X will refresh the image
Up and Down change the height of sprites
Left and Right change the width of sprites
Z + Up/Down changes the black value.

So this is my implementation of the random sprite thing I saw on https://2draw.me/random_ship_generator/index.en.htm

Basically, the top shows what percent black is likely to occur each sprite.
X will refresh the image
Up and Down change the height of sprites
Left and Right change the width of sprites
Z + Up/Down changes the black value.

Have fun.
Not sure how to export the images off the cart, but can be fun to play with a bit.
