First I want to say this is my first good and big level.
Yellow Man has always been just a normal guy with a full body suit of yellow, and his red headband. But one day, he woke up to find two guns, a sword, a shield, and a message on his wall. As he read it, a voice whispered with it, "Yellow man, you must go and defeat the ruler of the monsters. Go now." It then went on to whisper more, "You must face the minions of 2 kings first. The ruler lies in the corrupt wasteland. You will travel far and wide to face him, but you must persist. Go."
Here we have the first beta release of my storyline "Return to castle Voxelstein." This is not even close to being finished, I have objects to make, scripts to write, and of course, monster models to make. Most of that can't be completed at this time so I had to use my imagination for enemies. This release it is rather short, so I'll point out what enemies are equivalent to the ones in the wolfenstein games.
The Alien/Cow things that shoot the expanding rings are German officers ( the ones in Wolfenstein who wear a white uniform)
The small blue imps are of course german shephards.
The larger orange and purple imps are German grunts
The Orange grunts are, naturally, SS officers, red and orange included.
The Large Cow/Batimon is either going to be Hans Grosse, Hitler, or General "Fat Face"
It's also available in the BBS list, naturally.
Thanks for giving it a peek! I cannot wait to get the next release out with more levels and objects!

This is something I made really quick. Its inspiration comes from all the BBS levels where there is an "NPC" that is really just part of the environment. Killing these fake NPCs (really does anyone not blast them to voxel pieces?) really reminded me of Obi-Wan Kenobi's death. So after learning the basics of the editor I created this in about 30 minutes. This is the first map I've actually made and is incredibly sloppy/rough. It also features the first character model I ever made. I've never done pixel art before so quite frankly the models really suck. I mean REALLY suck. Please feel free to make this better. I like my idea, but I hate my work.
was curious, anybody bought voxatron strictly to make voxel art? i was never much of an artist myself but, the moment i saw voxel art i fell in love with the simple cube style. im still very much a beginner in doing voxel art, but the moment i saw how simple it was, first thing i thought was, 'yes, im a shitty artist, BUT I CAN DO THAT!
ive been experimenting with the best medium, inkscape has got a killer axonmetric grid but when you try to get that stacked cube look it just doesn't look right without alot of trouble. grafx2 is cool, but i suck at pixel art. the best voxel editor hands down is a software called qubicle constructor but i think it uses a bad form of drm and is windows only. its amazing to see that voxde is just being released and already it quite the voxel software.
truth is, even after the whole voxatron/voxel fad dies down, if voxde keeps being developed, voxatron will be a great game and an awsome creative outlet at the same time. yes, i also own the game spore which has a similar creative concept. i wish voxde a very long life.
how come when i select the green rectangle in the object editor, the edit room gets bigger lengthwise. also, if i double click the object the room grows much bigger. id prefer to have the largest workspace available. i don't actually play games, i just like to make things in the editor. i use the voxde as a creative outlet for art.
I have a pretty major bug with the levels I made. It says in the editor help that if a portal's go to number does not exist or is the same room, it will be completed. But for all the levels I make, when I do that, it just restarts the room. Will this be fixed in later updates, or is this happening to everyone?
EDIT: when I say this, I mean even after I publish the level. To test if it's my level itself, or intentional, I would be glad if some tested out a stage called hero's adventure.
