Alright, I'm gonna come right out the gate a admit that I do not expect alot of you guys being all too keen on paying for somebody to help you with building/animating for your fun little Voxatron Carts...

And I totally understand that! And so with that in mind, I'm trying my best to be as inexpensive as possible without being unfair to myself... :) Afterall! I love creating for Voxatron and Pico as much as I assume you all to... ;) I have worked on numerous personal carts with plans of a full-fledged game that, while it may never come to fruition, definitely show my prowess with the blocks... ;) I'm even quite proficient with just straight up pixel art, so feel free to look at my Pico post to see some of that... https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=29337

But enough about that! If you've read this far you're probably getting curious as to what my work actually looks like! Is it any good? How much will I be charging for it? -_-

So basically before people critize my blog/bbs name (If there bad, which I assume that they are...,) Ill explain this blog quick as I can and get to this weeks "subject." I don't upload good levels honestly, and Im working on one good level right now, but that is besides the point. I love the game, even if Im not that good a it, and want to the person DigitalMonkey. He is the guy who got me into game in the first place. I MAYBE WILL expand this blog to Pico-8 and Chocolate Castle. Any other games people want in this discussion, just put in the comments. I know not many people will care about this voxatron blog, but I hope people at least consider what I say and think of with these blogs. Now to the point:

I only made this to discuss Lexaloffle games (and maybe other games too,) and I may publish a level along with the posts.

I will read any comments, and Ill eventually run out of ideas, so please put ideas you have in the comments.

Its not assured I will always upload on Wednesdays (Only day I can upload for now) but I may start uploading on Saturdays in the morning or at about 3:00 (This will not feature levels mostly)

So, this blog is about Pico-8. I hope I get feedback on this

A quick idea for a telekinetic attack. Face the enemy (or enemies) you want to attack, hold left click ('X' on keyboard) to lift the enemies into the air, then right click (or 'Z') to launch the enemies in the direction they're facing. It'll make more sense when you try it out.

The setup is quite simple. At its most basic, I'm emitting an invisible 'Pusher' monster behind every lifted enemy when you right click. The Pusher is offset behind the enemy (-Y) with a positive velocity (+Y). When it launches, it pushes the monster toward whichever direction it's facing . . . In this case, that's conveniently toward some lava.

Feel free to use this in your level. Comment with suggestions or fixes or ideas.

It's a bit too heavy for the browser, so try it out in the app.

An attempt to create sentries that only chase you while you're in their line of sight, but not through walls or objects.

While the player is within the sentries' angle of vision ( as indicated by the color-changing tiles), they shoot out invisible collectibles that auto wield, auto shoot, then dewield. While the player is wielding the item, the sentries switch to Chase mode. After 3 seconds, the item uses all its ammo and dewields, switching the sentries back to Watching mode until the ammo is filled up again.

One problem is that it takes time for the collectibles to reach the player, so there is lag between the sentries seeing you and the sentries switching to Chase mode. The spread of the collectibles is also unreliable and they tend to clump when being shot at 45 degree angles, often missing the player. There are also some performance issues with firing so many collectibles.

If there is a better way to achieve or optimize this, let me know!

I know I've been asking a lot of noob question lately, but where is the path for the alpha carts? I want to tkae some of the models out of one, but i can't see to find the carts. I'm using windows, but if you have it for mac and linux please post it for future reference.

HI there, I'm a beginner. How do I make a HUD? Like in the alpha carts, when I pick up a chocolate, my points at the top of the screen go up. How do i make that top of the screen? And how do I make the things I pick up add to my score?

HI there, I recently bought Pico and Voxatron, and I really like both of them. Pico has a lot fo support, and has a ton of guides for the beginner. However, Voxatron doesn't use lua scripts- it has its own thing. I'm asking for someone to make a comprehensive guidebook(like pico fanzine) for anyone to use. Thank you in advance for making it.

Also, can someone please tell me how to make a hud in Voxatron? I need it urgently for a project at school, and i need a point system in it. The premise is that a man has to collect rabbits, and the rabbits give 1 point each.

I'm trying to play music from a character and two monsters at the same time, but from different music items. For some reason, I can only get them to play one at a time. This one will play all at once, but they are items. I still can't get the character and two monsters to play at the same time, if anyone knows how to do that. Thanks!

Brand New to this software but here is my first test, I've made a little character :)

This is Ami. I want to turn her in to an Esper/Physic but for now I have only done her basic walk animation. Voxatron isn't exactly animator friendly but I enjoyed the challenge and had a lot of fun making her. I will develop her more but for now feel free to use this model.

OH does anyone know how to cancel the moving animation when the player stops? She freezes on whatever frame of the animation your in when moving and i want her to go back to frame one instead. I cant figure it out :\ Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
