I made this PICO-8 game for my girlfriend for Valentines Day. The idea was for her to collect as many hearts as possible and the amount at the end corresponded to a gift. The more hearts the better the gift! Getting all 18 hearts is harder than you might think. Currently I am trying to get it to work on a GPi CASE - Retroflag case.

The only thing that discouraged me from collecting the last heart is Darcy's limited lives.
If she had unlimited lives, I would've tried to collect the last heart until I got it, or at least I would've given up much later.
But instead I was scared that I might have to play the entire game all over again if I wasted all of Darcy's lives trying to collect a heart that is seamingly impossible to collect within her limited amount of lives.
its very hard, and I feel like the movement while jumping limited how much I was willing to risk going for the hearts, with my limited lives I was worried more about surviving then getting the hearts
