Remember the classic Shockwave Flash snowball fight game called Snowcraft from 1998? 21 years ago! My entry for this year's PICO-8 Advent Calendar is a demake of that beloved Flash game. Huge thanks to @Gruber for helping with the sound effects!

This game uses the mouse. (Sorry, mobile users!)

I tried to make this as close to the original as possible. Have fun! :)

Wow I loved Snowcraft! Phew this really takes me back and it's just how I remember it playing.
Excellent work, I'm gonna be playing a lot of this...

Good but a little simple.

Pick one red sprite as your main player. Don't worry about the others.

Drag your player away from any position to get hit by anyone and power up. Wait for your target to throw snowball. Hit him. As he's fazed power-up again. The moment he's back, hit again, he's done. Move to next target.

So essentially the whole game can be played by just one player, not three.

Now if the player moved slowly to where the player dragged it would definitely be a lot more challenging as the player could get hit by a volley at any time.

Suggest using joystick. Arrow keys to move active player. (X) to change between 1-3 of active player. (O) to power-up, release to shoot snowball.

Might even have active player shift immediately to one that gets hit so they can instantly retaliate and hopefully not get hit again.

@dw817 Yes, it was just a simple Flash game. :) Watch some YouTube videos of people playing this and you'll see that almost everyone for the past 21 years uses that exact strategy. 😁 I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm not going to make any changes to this, as it's intended to be exactly the game I created, which is a demake that's as faithful as possible to the original Flash game.

Well done and surprisingly close to the original!
