Description
The elephant forgot the rest of the levels, but luckily he still has one left! Help him beat it in all his metagaming glory. Use your keen knowledge of gaming and dexterity to manhandle your way through a variety of challenges. Get your mind out of the box for once! Take it outside for a walk, or maybe grab a bite to eat with it.
Oh, and beat the level. There's only one.
Controls
Arrow keys, but I am told not to tell you any more than that. The elephant says so.
Response from jmtb02 (who made the original)
"holy shit"
"THIS IS EVERYTHING"
"Thanks for doing these, each time you share one of these with me it brings me so much joy"
9:40:93, 24 deaths, first try.
A good adaptation of that old flash game.
I remember playing the flash version of this game when I was younger - you've done a very good job of capturing the fun of playing the same level over again for me just as the original had done back then. Great work!
Thought I'd see if an Armor Games splash screen would fit on the cartridge. Whaddaya think?
Great job! I saw this in the list and thought to myself "Oh, I remember somebody made that game for the 84+" :P You must really like this game. The splash screen on the second version also looks really great.
Haha, I was the somebody who made two calculator ports. I do like it; it's one of many really creative games from jmtb02.
Oh right, you made one for the CSE (or was it the CE...) too. What language did you use for the color one? IIRC you used Axe for the BW version.
I used Axe for the 84+ version, and I used the C toolchain for the CE version. While in retrospect both were imperfect, I think I've created a decent version in this PICO-8 recreation (and I finally implemented Stage 28 properly!).
@SandwichBlam - take a break and come back to it. Pause for success.
This was a lovely game. Gold Star @JWinslow23
reminded me of that level again since i didnt know there was a game called this is the only level
@roverart Press the button and get to the exit.
Basically.
But once you beat the level you replay the level, this time with different rules. It's more of a meta game, where every time through you're trying to play with the game, as much as you play the game.
