Red//Black: Two Horror Short Stories
A small experimental horror experience by matthias. My goal was to achieve a story-driven game with the PICO-8 engine.
Game was made for the PICO-8 Monster Mix and Mash Jam.
FULL SCREEN MODE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

SPOOKY! The look and feel of the game is really cool - nice work
... and after the house shrunk, black screen and hung.
Epic graphics. Program won't continue after the house shrunk though. Running in Lexaloffle.
After the house has been zoomed out, you should see some end credits and then a black screen. That's the end of the game. ;)
Let me try again, Matthias.
There's the credits. I didn't hit a key for a long time after the house vanished. Maybe it hit an infinite loop then.
Spooky ... but no monsters. Maybe next time.
This was spooky! I liked both of the little vignettes. Great use of art and palette.
Even though it's all story, I kept expecting something to jump out or attack me. It was tense.
Interesting experience, definitely worth playing.
I played it full screen!! Thanks for that suggestion! And I enjoyed this a bunch. Real nice work. Mostly bleak except for where it punches. I really liked the second half. It was a great experience.
I also say totally worth playing. I mean, come on it's almost Halloween. And play it full screen.
Well, I darn got creeped! Really liked the second story. I was scared in the right way where I was still intrigued enough to keep playing dispite being spooked enough to not be sure if I wanted to.
I thought that when it cut to the room it was a continuation of the first story but that turned out to not be the case.
