Just a little procrastination project. Not sure if it's going anywhere. Very early demo just showing movement and tiles.

This looks fantastic. The controls feel really good and I like the feedback. My one suggestion would be to maybe make the platform collision boxes a little bit wider. When trying to jump off of them I kept falling off sooner than I expected. Otherwise it's great so far! Can't wait to see more of it!


Great so far, maybe adding directional shooting (eg. arrow up+shooting button = shooting up)

Yeah, collisions are bad. Interestingly had the same issue as I have with GM. I must be doing something wrong.

Saw this on Twitter earlier. The tileset looks superb - I'd love to be this good at doing these uber-dark tilesets with just one-two colors.

PICO-8 definitely deserves a good Metroidvania, so if it turns out to be more than procrastination, I'll be happy :).

Cool start. Not digging the shaking of level when wall is hit tho. It's disorienting and feels unecessary unless shooting a special weapon. Normal weapon shouldn't 'feel' this strong imo. Good stuff!
