Hi,

I've noticed that Picotron takes in general 20-40% of the CPU on my intel mac (MBP 2019, 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9)
I tried searching around and couldn't find anyone else mentioning this problem. After talking with people on discord, others mentioned similar problems, on both intel and apple silicon.

Anyone else has similar problems? Would love to provide further information if it can help.

Same here, it takes 35-45% of the CPU on my Macbook Air (1,1 GHz intel i3 dual core)

It spends about 25-30% CPU idling on the desktop after launch on my Macbook Pro (M2 pro cpu)

20-25% here

mbp 2019 - 2.3GHz 8‑core Intel Core i9, Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz

Has my fans going when its running as well, I assumed it was normal, but doesn't seem right.

Same here: 30-40% CPU doing nothing.
MBP 2015 Intel Dual-Core i5 2.7 GHz running MacOS Monterey.
I also see high usage of WindowServer process 30-35% along with Picotron.
While Pico-8 takes 4-9% CPU and engages WindowServer on 10-13%.
