This is my entry to TRASEVOL_DOG's tinyTVjam: A basic port of Dr. Mario. Enjoy!

Instructions:

  • Clear the bottle from viruses (flashing blocks) matching their colors in groups of 4 using the falling pills.
  • Move the falling pill using the d-pad.
  • Rotate the pill using <z> or <x>
  • Difficulty increases on each level by adding 2 more viruses and pills falling faster.
  • Progress gets saved each level is cleared so you can try again where you failed.

Any comments and/or bug reports would be greatly appreciated.

fantastic port of my favorite falling puzzle game <3

Very awesome TV! I included it in my compilation video series of the Tiny TV Jam games, if you’d like to take a look :)

This is really good but I keep forgetting it's not the same rules as Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and forgetting that blocks handing off the side don't fall down.

the music is fun, and I like that it saves your progress :)

the only thing I would really change is to make the TV shake a little less on button inputs, and instead maybe make it shake a little just when the piece lands or when you clear a line of 4 or something.

nice job!

Ah man, love this too!!

this is amazing!

What a unique and original way of presenting and playing the classic, "Dr. Mario" @guerragames !

At first I thought it was just a demo of the bottle. But once you hit TAB then you can play the game.

May I suggest you make a version that uses only 🅾️ ❎ the arrow keys and PAUSE as - online from a cellphone you cannot press TAB or any of the 2-player controls from the overlay keypad.

Can we get an option to not shake the bottle every time you press a key?

Also, is there any way the next pill can be oriented the same direction it's going to enter the board? The preview is vertical, but then it enters the board horizontal, and I can never seem to wrap my head around whether the color on the bottom is going to be on the left or the right, and that messes up my strategy.

This game is so funny. The music is catchy. Great work, bro!

isn that a dbz reference?
