Thanks for playing my game!
I've been working on it for years at this point and finally feel relieved to publish it.
I'm aware that there's some jank and odd ends but I feel like I learned a lot making it.
This is a sequel to my other game Coindash.
Let me know what your scores or best times are and thanks again!

WOW! I can tell that you finetuned this for a LOOONG time. This is so great! This will be one of the greats. I have not gotten through the whole game yet, the third part is very hard, but I love what I´ve seen so far. This is very impressive!
You like kirby,right?
This is great! Definitely some Kirby inspiration here. Would love to see a feature that saves to local storage after each level.
I really enjoyed the mood of the game, the art also is very good looking, the gameplay fits well the universe and have nice feedbacks. All the levels felt great to play, and it seems like they offer more than what i could see in one try, so lot of replayability here! A little critic for the First (last?) boss that i tried for quite some time, and i felt like it wasn't fair to bring the enemy throwing fire, and not enough ways to reach his weak point, but mabe i need to give more tries. Really, wow, you did it, and the result is really good, and all you have learned here will be of great use for your next game! I'll look for what you do next!
Very cute, fun, and deceptively brutal. Very rewarding to finally beat the final boss! (is this first clear?)
You didn't explain how to beat the mo.. what should i do? build a freakin barbel tower with apple?
This is wonderful and very polished, just stuck on what to do for the boss fight at the end.
I really liked the mechanic of turning into a ghost on death and losing coins as punishment (and then getting a game over when you run out of coins). I think the coin cost does grow a little too fast, it quickly becomes impossible to fulfill for more than a couple of deaths.
I think enemies giving coins upon defeat would make sense to give incentive for actually risking it with them and would help counter the coin cost growing really fast. I also found that the shops were often not helpful because it was more worth it to save the money as to not die in future. (Do they only give fruit? The one shop with what seemed to be other stuff was too expensive for me. (Maybe a double jump would be a cool shop purchase?)
What an adorable and charming game.
I love all the little details you put into the enemies and the protagonist.
Music and backgrounds are lovely.
Well done.
Both these games are amazing. It was a joy to play! Very charming art style and soundtrack. I love how the enemies jump up and down as they walk. :)
Some one is an SMB fan. ;)
Thank you guys for playing!
@retropixie, @OWD5238, and @Munchkin Your meant to throw stuff at Mo's flower on his head but it can be pretty tricky and there's lots of randomness to it. I recommend hiding under Mo's head or keeping a stack of apples on the far sides so nothing falls on them. you can also walk and place down a apple inside a mushroom spring which should help a bit.
I also removed the fire enemy from the pool so it should be a bit more fair now though.
Yes big Mario, Kirby, and Spelunky fan here.
when you fighting with mo, just wish for there's no gunner dealing with these idiots almost impossible
I haven't gotten too far yet but everything about this game feels amazing! Love the animations & spritework, and the feeling of exploration. The music is really quirky and excellent also; it fits so well. Love all the little squeaks. Congrats on finally releasing it!
So glad this game is out now, Well done!
It's got such a great feel to the movement, very satisfying to play.
@Elidavididi I might want to make a third game eventually so I'd like it if you didn't but thanks for asking.
Took a solid 30 minutes or so. I love the mechanics and the puzzle at the end. I built up with apples then just threw apples up. How does Mo play the game though? He a big guy with no hands.
@WoopyBoiii I'm honestly not sure, Might be he gets help with pressing the buttons from the Henchmo and that's why he's still not done with it.
Thank you for playing!
Ok finally got around to finishing this game :)
So good. I loved the visual design of the final boss, but whoo boy did I struggle with him :D
Played it on browser, really really good. Tried to get working on my retro handheld however getting 'couldn't fetch data!(#lodash not found?)' error after running. Coindash is working fine though, any clue?
@Ittybitty I'm using a second cart on the bbs to store data cause I was over compressed otherwise. I think you'd need internet to play the game and connect to the bbs.
But you could download #loadash and edit the 'load("#loadash","#redash")' address yourself for wherever you put the file.
Thanks guys for playing ^-^
@SmellyFishstiks I'm not a programmer to know anything too technical however I'm sure I could get it working if it's possible. When you say to download #loadash, can you explain more specifically? For example, if I download what Ive found as 'lodash', which file do I need to edit? If I can't get it working I'll settle to play on pc/browser but it would be cool on handheld. Thanks! :D
in the pico-8 prompt, you can type commands to download and save carts as local files:
then you can load redash and edit the code to have load("_loadash.p8.png")
@merwok thank you, that's really helpful as I had no idea you could do that.
I've not got it working yet, are you able to see what I'm doing wrong?
For example, now I've downloaded #loadash and renamed it to #loadash.p8 and edited the code within the redash cart to the below and saved it. Second pic is the error I got from that.
no, don’t start it with a #
, that will mess up loading: such names are for bbs carts, not local files. please try my example!
I got it working. Was struggling getting the code and files matching up but once it all did, it worked. Tysm both, can't wait to play it all the way through now.
