Great artwork, banging music, and the gameplay feels fun and challenging. There's a few things though:

  • Dying doesn't reset to the beginning (but can be fixed with a simple reset).
  • when playing, I found it easier to stick to the left and kill stuff there before they could shoot. That way I could stay out of the path of the boat that flies in from the right side to dump a ton of bullets. Maybe add more right-side boats that apply pressure to the left.
  • the action petered out at the end, and then the game errored:

    I'm assuming both of these this is from running out of time since today was the last day for submissions.

precisely. i ran out of time to figure out the reset. the way the enemies are built wasnt intended for roll back and i didnt have time to figure out why the other team members code was like that. sorry its an unfinished mess but its out the door with the barest of essentials as a test of the tools built by louie. balance and proper enemy placement might come in a future iteration of this title


it errors out because it runs out of mapsegments to draw lmao. just a limitation of the game jam
