Hello there!
I seem to have an issue with Pico 8 on linux. After about half an hour of play arrow input gets stuck and won't work until I reboot my PC.
I concluded that it stuck because in settings it shows the problematic key as pressed.
I only play Pico 8 on my PC so I can't tell if something similar happens in other games, but nothing of the like has ever happened in any other app I used.
It's really annoying and frustrating, especially when playing more active games like Celeste or Ninja Cat.
Is there a way to fix it?
Hi there!
I don't know what Linux distro you're running, but this also happens to me on Manjaro with kernel 5.15. However, it's not just limited to PICO-8 in my experience, but anything where I'm using arrow keys in quick succession without using other input (when I'm navigating around a text doc in Atom primarily). I'm inclined to think this is some weirdness in Linux keyboard input rather than PICO-8, but I'd be curious to see if this happens for others too.
BTW, I am able to clear this up by closing my laptop lid & reopening it. You might be on a desktop, but if not, that's worth trying as well.
Yeah, I'm also using a laptop. I'll try it, thanks for the advice!
My system is Ubuntu by the way.
I'm also on Linux (Arch) and never faced this problem. I'm interested though on what could be the cause of it.
