There is a port of PICO-8 to the Raspberry Pi Pico called yocto-8

That would need to be adapted to the Picosystem. The stumbling block is RAM, the Picosystem has 264 Kilobytes, PICO-8 can consume as much as 2 Megabytes (which an 8-Bit machine would never ever have)

Yikes, why in the world did they pick a 240x240 display when any systems (either retro or fantasy) with squarish displays use either 128 or 256 pixel width? With the exception of GBA (which it probably can't handle), nearly anything you try to run through this will look blurry.☹️

This is no emulation device but it’s own thing.
