Synopsis:
Jerry Seinfeld needs your help with his standup routine! Tell 250+ possible jokes (which make absolutely no sense), to your Boomer/Gen-Z audience! Will you tell the most insane jokes possible? Will you tell the cheesiest dad jokes? Or will you make references to things nobody understands? The choice is yours!

Thanks for trying out my first game ever!
The game kind of went from a joke-telling simulator to a "recognize the most obscure stupid reference" simulator. It makes the game less funny to those who don't understand the references, but I think the game is better this way, lol.
A big fear of mine was accidentally offending people while they're playing. Although some offensive jokes can be funny, I don't want anyone to feel personally hurt by the game. I have no intention of ostracizing anyone from playing this game.
Guide:
-Press "Z" or left click to perform actions
-Press "X" to access the help menu
-Stars give you extra help menu uses (that doesn't mean the punch-line it's on is good though!)

Amazing. Well polished, simple but effective gameplay, the Seinfeld theme remixes were all great though maybe a tad too short, all around, I like this a lot.
Side note, the one thing I'd change is maybe making questions you haven't added to the joke diary more common than the rest. It'd make it shorter as a whole but help the flow of going for 100% by a lot, and make it feel more varied for those that don't aim for it.
This is absolutely brilliant. The animation, the music (if only Pico-8 had slap bass) and oh, the jokes. Bravo! :)
This is genius, and hilarious. I love it. The presentation is superb... this is really your first game? Very impressive. Straight to my favorites.
I love the uniqueness of this game. I don't think it should disable keyboard/gamepad input when mouse is enabled though, or at least there should be some way to use the gamepad to reenable gamepad input after enabling mouse. I ran into a game-breaking situation when using my gamepad-only retropie setup: I pushed [O] on the keyboard icon thing just to see what it did (I didn't know what it was a picture of) and it ended up completely locking me out of the game because I don't have a mouse hooked up; even restarting didn't let me play it because it remembers the setting apparently 😹
just a reminder that it's important to always keep in mind that not every PICO-8 has a mouse
Hi, I'm really sorry to all of you that commented ( @bdsa @Spaz48 @extar @Numzyx @2bitchuck @dollarone @PicoLate @kittenm4ster) for my lack of response, I was actually really nervous to see people's reaction to the game after I posted it back in December, so I decided to take a long break to step back from the project before coming back.
I just saw all of your feedback, and I'm so appreciative for your compliments and suggestions!! I really wish I would've checked earlier so that I could thank all of you, and fix some of the things some of you suggested (like making un-seen jokes more common, and my oversight involving keyboard/mouse switching...). I may look back and fix some things with the game here and there, but right now I'm actually shocked that people enjoyed this game. It really motivates me to make something new, maybe this time with a larger scope.

the 18+ is cool and funer then the kid but the kids is for the kids.
