This is my 72h entry for alakajam #9 !!
Rules ( basic )
- A link is created between stones sharing a color or a shape.
- Chain of 12+ stones will explodes increasing score and experience
Rules ( advanced )
- Each time you level up, a random malus is drawn in the list.
- Complete some specific conditions to increase your combo values.
- The first time you complete a condition, you win a trophy accordingly
- Gain 3,5,10,15 trophies for bonus score.
Controls
left/right : move piece
down : drop piece
up/w : turn piece
x : check trophies list

Any chance we could get a little writeup of the rules?
I played around with it a bit, but other than how the Duty section on the left works, a lot of things aren't clear to me, like even what causes a match to disappear, and why the edges of the board also seem to connect into matches.
Ah. I think I just had an epiphany. Do matches disappear once you connect the left and right edges of the board?

Incidentally, the X and O button functions are inverted. X is supposed to rotate the piece but instead opens the trophies, while O is supposed to open the trophies but instead rotates the piece.
Love this game so simple and complex and the same time, really fun only problem is that sometimes it feels a bit random with things dropping down and coming from the floor, might need some kinda indicator overall really likeing the game.

this is great. so addictive. the mechanics, presentation, etc.... all so solid.
I really like that this is turn-based, @benjamin_soule, so you can take the time for your moves. Interesting mechanics too.
Though I'm never really sure when a connection will take place, it's interesting to watch.

I slightly changed the key settings, because I kept mis-clicking and accidentally dropping stones on Android.
@benjamin_soule I found a bug: after a bubble first appeared on the board, the "all clear" achievement won't work anymore.
To fix this, bubbles need to be deleted from balls when exploding: simply add "del(balls, n)" in explode_bubs().
I enjoy this game a ton! Once I got a strategy I was on auto pilot. I do wish there was a way to save high scores. Is this a Pico 8 limitation? Also, I wish it was a little more visually obvious with stones were linked.
what the bubbles doing? what the achievements doing? WHAT THE GAME DOING? I HAVE BEEN BOUND TO THE STONES!!!
