My first submission. Been fiddling with pico8 for couple of months now and I love it. I am not a pro coder so all feedback very much appreciated! :) and it is a work in progress so I will try to tidy up the code.

Love this game, played it about 15 times this afternoon :).
The movement of the ship is very smooth and pleasing. It was a great idea to use a dot rotating around a circle for the ship. This gets around the problems of trying to rotate a low res sprite.
High score around ~3100 so far. Do some of the weapons work better on certain of the targets than others?
Thanks for the feedback I thought no one played this :D
And yes sniper rifle is the most effective against Black enemies.
