Thanks for this, I'm sure others will be glad to have such a simple and effective implementation of particles! Just a side note, z seems to be triggering, not x.
I'm very new to coding with Pico 8 (started this month). Writing out and messing with this code helped me understand so much that I wasn't getting. Thank you, so much for making this cart available for people like me
