Good start to Castle/Dungeon side-view platformer. As the player is capable of double-jump, suggest that be an ability which is later EARNED.
Thereby requiring the player to backtrack their steps to see if there were any previously unreachable ledges now available to step on.
Howsabout you have your jump from the start, but you unlock those sweet spells? That spell that floats up would have been awfully useful in the first room.
The artwork in this is really good, by the way, even if the gameplay is a bit annoying.
Ditto on the art; that's some really nice pixel work, excited to see the game come together some more around it.
