First experiment!

With which I wanted to start learning how make one sprite loop animation and one music loop. Two things I've never done in my life before ...I think...
The rest is just drawing lines. One of my favourite features of PICO-8.

The beats are HEAVILY based on Jelpi's ( or maybe some other of zep's carts... ), but I do start to understand the magic now.

Edit: I am not a very clever man. I deleted the cartridge reference u_u'
Edit2: Uploaded again.

Beautiful!

Amazing

trippy as hecc

I tried to fix all the little gaps in the lines. First I tried adding more lines with a slight offset in angle. Didn't quite do it. Then I tried to get it to look at every pixel, and if it was black, make it the same color as the pixel next to it. This got it almost there, but the shadow was messed up by the lines behind it. So I removed the shadow. Still, when the front part occludes the back part, some of the back pixels come through. Oh well.
Here it is:

Slight problem for the original cart. If you click CODE nothing appears, @gerard_02. I'm guessing because this cart is so old.

Still, as @UnitVector said, it could use some clean-up. Let me take a look ...

He is drawing lines from the center outward and to my knowledge there is no command in Pico-8 to change the thickness of lines drawn. Sure you can use FOR/END to fatten them but that slows the whole thing down.

Here is the best I can do. 60FPS, smoother rotation, maintaining pyramid shadow.
