Welcome to Crossbones Catch!!
This is the first game that I've ever completed and published!! I am very excited to share it with this community that I love!
Controls
Press ⬅️ or ❎ to move your boat to the left.
Press ➡️ or 🅾️ to move your boat to the right.
If you maneuver your boat off-screen, it will reappear on the other side!

Crossbones will fly through the air in a crazy pattern making them harder to catch (and avoid). If you miss a White Crossbones, then you will lose health too. Additionally, for every 10 points earned, another Red Crossbones is added to the screen!
Power-Ups and Curses!
Collecting the falling treasure chests can be both rewarding and risky!!

Inside each treasure chest is a randomly selected power-up (or curse!!). Try collecting them all to learn which ones you should avoid.
Help is on the way!
Low on health? A helpful health regeneration zone will randomly appear! Maneuver your boat into the zone to regenerate some lost health. You also get a tiny health boost for every 20 points earned.

NOTHING STOPS THE KRAKEN!
The Kraken can not be killed and no power-up makes you immune to its harmful damage! It is best to avoid it at all costs. The more points you earn, the more the Kraken grows irritated with you. There are 4 phases of Kraken irritation... At first, it will just pop up to check things out, however, eventually the Kraken will actively hunt you down!!

How high of a score can you earn?
This is an incredibly unforgiving old-school arcade game. Most of the game's logic is built on RNG, which means every run will be different. Please post your high scores in the comments below!! I honestly don't know if anyone can reach (or exceed) 100 points playing this game; that would be amazing if you could do it!!!
(By the way, your current run's statistics, your high score, and your "best game" stats are all saved and accessible too!)
