Ooh, yes there is. In the making, of course. I think I'll put a WIP up soon. It's a zombie map with lots of custom mobs and items.
On another point if Zep sees this I'd like to ask for an option to set the rates of items being dropped from custom mobs. Every enemy dropping an apple gets in the way a bit.
I turned off item spawning for custom monsters in 0.2.6 -- you can still optionally emit something with a given probability.

I have shadow map manipulation on the wishlist, but I'm not sure what form it will take yet. It needs some kind of 2d painting mode to work nicely I think (which might be aligned with possibility of adding a 2d slice editor).
