Dominopolis is a city-building/puzzle game, where you earn points for placing the same type of tiles next to each other.
Dominopolis was a submission to the 2021 GMTK Game Jam, where the theme was 'Joined Together'. Dominopolis fits this theme by having the tiles that you place be joined together in pairs (like dominoes, hence the name!)

Flashing the piece is a bit off-putting / disorienting - I'd suggest turning that off. The black outline is a good enough indication that this is the piece you are about to place.

Pretty good game! Also i agree with what professir said you should make an option to disable the flashing tiles.

Thanks professir and Dvan for the kind comments! The flashing speed was also brought up as feedback after the jam; I think if I ever get a spare day with nothing else to do, I wouldn't mind adding an option to adjust/remove it.
If anyone's curious, the best score I've seen so far was 56, from a particularly dedicated person on itch.io who used a rare spawn where the two ponds occupy the same tile!
