This gives me the same vibes as like a old nitrome game I would boot up and play after school like 10 years ago, love it!
neat idea - excellent realization 👌
minor rant: vomit sounds gets a bit annoying after a while…
The most of the time I simple press the puke-button and move around. A system that the player must think more about when he should press the button or not would be nice. like a Puk-o-meter - when you finish the level with only xxxx seconds puke-button you got three Stars for the level or something like this. Or a Cool-Down-system. Or that you must eat something before you can puke - but it should respawn.
The first enemies the water-creatures maybe a little bit to easy. You can simple stand in front of them and puke - they die before they can touch the player. Maybe a little bit more health?
I don't think that making the core mechanic more complicated would be more fun - it just stops progress with a chore. An ammo system would only be interesting if it let you puke different things.
I already tried giving monsters more health, it was boring.
I would have liked to have more mechanics that interact with the vom but I ran out of tokens. I had to strip out moving platforms just to get the boss fight in.
I'll just be fixing bugs for now. Maybe some mechanics could be swapped out for better features but I'd prefer to make a sequel instead.
A thingy happened: An error has gotten when you win the level and join as player 2.
Man that is one sick kitty, @st33d. :p
I agree. The constant 'puke' sound could be limited to play its SFX once when pressed and only plays again once you release and press again. Holding only plays once.
In a way this reminds me of Miner 2049er as he too had to touch all the floors and light them up before the next level would appear.
