What you see here is a physics engine test of a game that I'm working on, where you can only move Mr. Careful, the purple blob, by way of precise jumping. It's rough around the edges, and I haven't gotten to implementing the other big mechanic of the game, but feel free to test the jumping system all you want! I also haven't implemented death yet apart from the panic button, but those spikes and spike-like balls? They will be much deadlier when the time comes.

On landing you should snap the position of the character to the ground level. Right now as soon as I start the cart I fall and clip one pixel into the ground which prevents me from jumping at all and softlocks the game

About that; The version I had uploaded before I updated it a couple of seconds ago didn't actually have any jumping mechanic, or a decent physics engine to speak of. I fixed the first problem, the second one... not so much.
UPDATE: Second problem fixed, and improved upon, even!

I plan on bringing that in when I implement the death mechanic: the sprite that signifies the end of the map works upon the same planned way
