A cat maze and puzzle game. Get through 16 levels in as few moves as possible, find your favourite socky and defeat your nemesis.
Clear the fog as you expand your territory, navigating through gardens, dark dungeons, slippery ice, an ancient city and a mandatory industrial zone. Win medals based on how many moves you have left.
If you get stuck, there are hints in the menu. Version 07 is more forgiving and has a level select.
This is really fun and the visuals are amazing! I love the way the terrain gradually evolves, so the levels feel distinct but connected to each other. (It would be fun to keep seeing this in the transition out of the ice levels.) Pandora is cute and it's fun the way she blends into the glittery dungeon scenes.
I say put the music on by default. It sounds great, and I feel like most people just won't hear it if they have to opt in through the menu.
It feels fairly easy to play through this "just for the scenery," but I imagine it would be very tricky to go for the gold medal on every level. It's really cool how you've built in these multiple difficulty options!
Thank you for the kind comments and glad you enjoyed it! Good point about the music, hopefully once I've got further and varied the music a bit more, I'll feel happier turning it on by default. Much appreciated :D
I could not wrap my brain around level 9, but I had a lot of fun trying! Very nice game, even if I wasn't already biased toward black cats :)
Thanks, I did wonder if level 9 was a bit hard. Hopefully the pink faces act as a hint, but I'll have a think if there's any way I can avoid anyone getting too stuck.
Good and interesting turn-based game, @isometrify. Gold star report.
Movement is a little slow. Here is my quick patch to have the cat move the same speed as walking with no hesitation between steps.
@dw817 Thanks again for the mod - I've been testing it out. One thing I've noticed is that it affects the movement of the moving obstacles (for example on level 6) so if you press Z/O to wait, the bombs move rapidly. The bombs need to only move one step whenever either the player moves or waits. I do love the faster movement, but the original version currently preserves the synchronisation between cat and bomb movement, which is an essential mechanic for gold medals in some levels (particularly 6 and 13). I'll need to think further in order to bring the cat and bomb movement into sync with faster movements. In the meantime, thank you for showing me how it's possible to speed up the movement!
Thanks so much @binarycrusader , glad you enjoyed it and you're the first person I've known to get a perfect score. Congratulations!! 🐈⬛🏆💯😻
