Gameplay
You are Adam Apple. Run and jump through 4 platforming levels and reach the end while trying to collect all 12 (optional) golden gems along the way.
Key features
•Tight controls to make movement as enjoyable as possible.
•Refined and fair level design to ensure good difficulty balancing .
•An endgame ranking system - can you collect all 12 golden gems in under 3 minutes without dying? There might be a little something for doing so...
•Extras in the pause menu such as a timer for speedrunners, scanlines for those looking for a stronger retro feel, and even a debug mode.
•A brand new save system that will remember if you've turned on the speedrun timer or debug mode so you don't need to turn in back on every time you play the game. It also remembers if you've achieved the best endgame rank.

@Gruber Thank you :) You're music from PicoTunes Vol. 2 was excellent, and I felt it would only be reasonable to credit your work.
Man! This creation is amazing! I love how the graphics look and small tweaks to the map. I love this game and hope you make more like this one!
@Jerry_Boy I'm glad you like it. Also, you're finally in the credits like you (jokingly) asked :D
I really like the level design and style, the controls/physics were a little too tight for my liking. The extras in the pause menu are a nice touch, overall really good!
i just played both versions of 𝗺ellow 𝗺eadow:
first i played this deluxe version.
then i found the original, so i played it, because as a game developer, i find comparisons to older game versions interesting.
i really like all changes in the deluxe version:
- better-looking title screen
- removed or diminished the high-contrast backgrounds that look like foregrounds
- much better-fitting music
- sticky bridges look more different from clean bridges
- removed the 300-seconds countdown timer from the levels (at least i think it's seconds. 8-bit retro games tend to use non-standard time units)
- the extra 13th coin
- generally better-looking visuals
the only change i would expect that isn't here, is:
- map jump and continue to both buttons (❎ and 🅾️), instead of having to remap in the menu. because one of these buttons is always unused
i really like the checkpoints in the game:
- you begin all your attempts at the beginning of the current level (not the whole game)
- after every death, you don't have to recollect any coins — so you can skip huge chunks of the level, that you needed to visit to collect coins
if the game did not have these checkpoints, it would have been frustrating and not happying
