It's finally done! There may be a few bug fixes but this is pretty much it! A passion project combining my love for shmups with my passion for ducks. Quack!

Looks intriguing. I like the graphical style.

Unfortunately though I get a runtime about 5 seconds into the game (line 5 tab 7 "Attempt to index field 'pos' (a nil value)").

Thanks! Lots of people are having issues with trying to pick up items. I will def try to fix that asap when I sit down again.

Pretty smooth and fun gameplay. I especially enjoy looking at your background art and depth effect (so much so that I would tend to look at the background as opposed to the main game area).

On that note, a small suggestion would be adding a bit of moving detail to the water (in addition to the light blue streak of water already behind the duck), even if it's small patches of white and/or the other shade of blue which shows the water moving relative the duck. Not completely trivial to implement (since the duck's movement must be accounted for to make it realistic), but I think a bit of this detail would really go a long way with drawing players' eyes to water that could be on the same level of impressiveness as your background art. I think this would also complement the streak of water you have behind the duck as it moves and make that illusion more convincing.

Overall, great work!

This game is weird; not in a bad way but just really confusing

How so?

Fun little shmup with plenty of humor, great graphics and effects, and smooth gameplay. Plenty of great power-up standards (I literally LOLed when the ducklings appeared ^_^). As an old-skool fan of arcade shoot-'em-ups I truly enjoyed playing this.

...gotta get a gamepad for my PC.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I put all of my love for shmups into it.
