Recently, I completed make a game which made by pico-8. And released!
But since then, there has been no reaction from overseas people.
I've been trying my best to translate English, but I'm sad that perhaps English player no one plays.
Is there anything wrong?
I would be happy if you could get any comments.
"Dungeon Witches" is a tiny 8bit Rogue-lite RPG of the cute girls with magic of the "Home".

*Note that my cartridge capacity is too large to add to the cartverse...
Thanks!
I played your ‘beta’ version and I liked the game (albeit very chaotic at times)
This being said I didn’t think I was missing out on anything, so I certainly wouldn’t pay $4.99 to play the full version
I do wonder what market your aiming it at though, as this is the first I’ve heard of it, and the only post on this forum I can find about it... surely your target market would be the pico-8 fanbase
Don’t get me wrong tho, its a good game and better than anything I could ever dream of making
My guess is you are having a marketing problem. How are you advertising your game? Simply releasing a game won't necessarily generate interest on it.
There is some marketing, although it’s in Japanese so I can’t read it

Thanks for comments!
At first, I wasn't thinking of selling it, so the marketing might not have been enough.
And I thought that if I uploaded the game to itch.io, many English talking people would see it.
I once wrote an introductory note on BBS, but since I didn't receive any reply in long time, I deleted it this time...
Sometimes I introduced my game on twitter with the #pico8 tag, but now I think that maybe not known from many people.

But I'm not sure what to do further...

Sorry, but it maybe can escape by save and load. (Completed version has force escape command )
I am in a similar position to you and have similar concerns.
This is the method I'm trying right now.
You can give 10 tags on itch.io.
I use itch's "analytics" to determine which of these tags are valid, and then select the ones I want to leave behind.
I find it more effective to have both general tags that are broadly relevant to the game, as well as tags with niche attributes.
Tags that may be effective include "witch", "Female Protagonist", "monstergirl"
( Some may think they're not! )
I'd be honored if this advice could help you!

I tried adding tags according to your suggestion. "witch", "Female Protagonist", "monstergirl".
Also, I looked at the itch.io's analysis page and reviewed some tags that were not accessed.
I'd like to see the effect of the change for a while.
Thank you!
Try getting someone to showcase your game. Perhaps you could try sending keys to youtubers and streamers that have channels themed around indie games and such.
I want to try to introduce download keys to game theme youtubers and streamers!
It's been a little bit, but there's a reaction from overseas now!
Thanks, all :)
