Acceler-8

A small Pico-8 Motorcycle racing game with procedurally generated tracks. Compete against 7 other racers, but watch out for the cars!

Also available on Itch.io.

Special thanks to Nette for cleaning up some of the bad pixel art for this cart!

Z/C to drive, X to brake, Arrow keys to steer.
Apparently, I accidentally deleted this post a while ago, whoops!

Features:

• Procedurally generated tracks with hills, curves and field objects
• 3 Different Regions
• 6 Bike Styles

Update:

3.0

• Racers now change lanes and dodge cars!
• Racers should spread out a bit more.
• New Billboard and Birch tree sprites.
• MUCH bigger trees and cacti, looks way better!
• Bigger Turn signs (should be more readable)
• Improve Skidding
• Some pixel updates (Thanks Nette!)
• Fixed bug with road sprites not transitioning.
• Fixed bug that stopped Reverse from working, forever.
• Fixed bikes drawn over checkered flag at the end.

Ka-phew ! I'm gonna lose my sandwich with all those ups and downs in the road. But WOW ! This is an awesome accurate 3D racer.

The motorcycle even LEANS over when he's making the turns. Nicely done. Well-deserved Gold star for you !

This is fun! It looks awesome but it's really playable - even with all the rolling hills and stuff turns are easy to interpret and stuff. Would love to see more tracks and stuff.

I thought this looked great when I saw it on twitter.
So cool to actually play it.
The big backgrounds and the colour dithering is really well done. Awesome stuff.

There we go. I think this is about as done as it's gonna get! I have Nine (9) tokens left. There's MAYBE a few more I could shave down, but from 1.0 to now I've probably reclaimed like 2k XD
