Hello,
just testing some Slopes in a Jump'n Run-like Prototype.
Nothing's really finished yet, I'm just testing around^^.
Hey this is really awesome :D would you mind sharing how you got the slopes to work?
I think this has a nice fluid feel to it.
I want to feedback that it is possible to jump at diagonal overhangs of solid ground (not just thin lines), and overshoot them, then jump again so as to get to places you wouldn't otherwise be able to get to.
For example, jumping to the right from the right of the long flat just above the halfway point on the second screen it is possible to get to the infinite drop.
I don't think that it is possible to get there with a normal jump with open pixels around you - jumping up through the overhang was the only way I did it. Perhaps that one is deliberate.
That means it's also possible to get yourself stuck in the ground, for example jumping to the left from the slope a little way across the bottom of the second screen:
I mention this only in the hope that it is helpful feedback for you.
