I picked up Voxatron because I believe it will be a great addition to my coding classes. Game development is something my students really enjoy. However, before I introduce them to Voxatron (Pico-8 a little later) I need some help with the basics. The tutorials on YouTube are pretty old so they don't match the current game very well.

I kind of understand the doors. But I could really use a better explanation.

I want to create my own objects but I can't seem to build them. All I see is the empty cube. When I run the game the cube disappears.
- Can a Voxatron game be playable on a RaspberryPi built arcade machine?

I don't quite completely understand doors myself, so just experiment and see what works.
- When you're creating an object, are you building anything in it? You need to put something into the object's model for it to appear.
Here's a level containing an object, animation, and monster in that order, left to right. If you want to look at how it works, look up how to take the level file and open it up in the editor.
- I don't know, I haven't tried. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work though.

hi im new here not sure where to post. Voxatron looks great-
is there a way to save/load levels from game (like a level selector?) would this be done via scripting with beta? Will v1 let us make game file standalones ? Well if anyone can freelance maybe help me out abit...thanks....
Is it possible to download someone's cartridge and add all of the assets they created to my folders?
if you follow the tutorials 2 3 and 4, that should clarify how to download and upload carts (png files)
into and from the editor.
