Make a web, eat some bugs, get a high score! Just a gameplay demo for now.

BUT this is just a demo, so why not play the full game here: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?pid=41423

Dang, this is some nice stuff. Spent my whole first game assembling and then traipsing around a clumsy web while starting to grok how I could come back and do the web construction stuff more efficiently the next time; those strand physics and the idea of the web as a real-time infrastructure project is super promising. Sort of a vertical tower defense feeling. And I love the look of it, all that aside.

This is such a cool idea. Character movement feels great and I love the web physics. Can't wait to see more!

This is soooo gooooood

Reminds me of some of the weird mechanics in Triachnid, except this controls way better! Nice job.

Took me a minute to realize that you have to hold the Z button to grow each strand (though I was accidentally playing with my computer muted, so I didn't hear one of the tickers at first) - maybe there could be some visual feedback to show that the current string is still expanding? Like maybe rendering that string with a cycling sequence of the 5/6/7 greyscale colors, something like that?

Really, really impressive. Fun web physics and interesting bug types.

I'm a creep who likes spiders and I too was reminded of Triachnid, which tried a lot harder to have a physics-driven main character. This game captures all the fun I had building webs but the controls are way simpler and faster.... I'm really digging the web physics and how you worked in an arcade game with like 5 different bugs to catch and everything about this is just lovely. <3

Can you plz make this into a larger game outside this PICO prototype plz

450 points can I get a screenshot of anyone getting past 450 points?!

Fantastic physics! The lil' jumps that the spider does are kinda cute, too... heh

This game is so great ! I have seen many attempt to make a good web-building spider but this one is the best. I also loved http://www.digyourowngrave.com/arachnophilia-spider-web-game/ if you want to see and alternative spider game.

Wow, this is some really impressive physics stuff for PICO-8, nice job!
