I dig it. Fun to play. My only suggestion would be to have the mouth stay open longer (just a bit) when you hit Z. Right now to be able to eat I have to fast tap Z, which is unreliable and not really worth the risk. Whereas if pressing Z provided say, 20 ticks (maybe?) of time with the mouth open...that might make that mechanic better. A high score board could also be cool. But otherwise, really nice/fun gameplay.
