A medieval, European noble names generator
Just my little sunday production. Names generated will sound authentic but are not actual persons.
Includes : Anglo-saxon, French, Germanic, Spanish, Italian and Polish-Lithuanian (credit arian09_01) cultures.
Feel free to reuse the code to save time making your RPG or (grand?) strategy game.
I did consider it at first, but didn't in the end because I felt like I'd write rubbish!
If you hand me 8 first names and 8 surnames I'll gladly add them!
names:
Jan, Mikolaj, Krzysztof, Konstanty, Michal, Feliks, Onufry, Stanislaw
surnames:
Tarnowski, Lubranski, Kamieniecki, Ostrogski, Szydlowiecki, Gamrat, Radziwill, Zagloba
People from szlachta were referred to as Ksiaze or Rycerz (duke/knight respectively), without anything between name and surname. names taken from real szlachta names and Henryk Sienkiewicz's The Trilogy.
