A small apple farming sim.
Tab turns on the TV. Once the TV is on, arrow keys move, X displays the inventory, and Z uses the current item.
Tools:
Magnifying Glass
[0x0] | |
Examines the square you are facing. Brings up a full screen detailed view of whatever is in front of you. Useful for checking on your trees.
Apple Basket
[0x0] | |
Holds all of your apples. The red number on screen when your inventory is open is the count of how many apples are in your basket. Pressing "use" while this is selected will either plant an apple in tilled soil, or harvest apples from a grown tree.
Watering Can
[0x0] | |
Young seedlings need to be watered to grow. Pressing "use" while this is selected will sprinkle water on the square in front of you.
Hoe
[0x0] | |
Tills soil. Pressing "use" will till the square in front of you.
v0.9:
this is really good!
the music is very nice, especially the night time music (I'm assuming it's supposed to be a day/night cycle...that's what it feels like to me anyway :); I am a always fan of whole-tone based music :)
the magnifying glass thing works surprisingly well, and the gardening sim is fun even in its simplicity :)
Good job! You managed to pack in LOTS here and it's very playable. Thank goodness for the instructions tho! ;o)
this is a dense cart, i'm super impressed! it's scratching a particular harvest moon itch too
I almost abandoned it at first but it looked so cool so I gave it another go. Glad I did it is a little gem once you get the hang of it. :-)
Great job on the gameplay and music!
I love the magnifying glass idea. It really helps with immersion. Which feels weird to say for a 10x11 game but it's true.
Nice game! Lots of stuff going on here. Really neat little idea! I included it in my compilation video series of the Tiny TV Jam games, if you’d like to take a look :)
Great game. Loved the music. Thanks for the how-to guide. It was really hard telling what all the tools were without it. (Maybe a black border around the tool selection would help?)
I enjoyed the magnifying glass view. It was funny that the background turned to desert to say when to water.
