Remember the first level in adventure mode? There's a sign you can walk up to, which will then show you some text. Can this also be accomplished in the editor? If yes, how?

As far as I know, it isn't currently possible. I went through and checked the alpha-world's map file, and there doesn't seem to be any unusual properties associate with the sign. Of course I could be wrong.


I'd imagine you could make the text Group triggered, then have the sign Close triggered, and just group them.

But you'd still bump into the text.


Yeah, it must have been coded in like the dragon. The way it fades of the screen seems a tad too complex for the current editor. Hopefully we'll see some sort of text function implemented in the future.


maybe til the text aspect is available just writing with voxels could be a sweet option... giant text!


Another option would be to include a readme file with your level, or the write the content right in the BBS post.


I thought so, haha. Too bad! Maybe it will be added in a future version :)


I use text bubbles on timers to tell the player things, just see my level Gladiators Assault 0.5 for an example.
