I also discovered a 42 move solution while I was trying this out. A hint:

When you're shuffling the chocolate around to get the dog out, it's possible to do it so that you end up with large connected groups.



42 moves sounds interesting. I guess I should add this to the record table since it is a valid record claim and I don't think having designed the level is a big advantage here... unless anyone (especially Weedhopper since he holds the current 44 move record) feels it would still be inappropriate, that is. Opinions are welcome.

OK, since no-one has disagreed, I just went ahead and did it.


Sorry I haven't been around... no objections at all, I think we've proved that designing a level is very different than optimally solving it. (I'm terrible at optimizing the levels I designed, go figure...)

My 44-move didn't use your suggested opening sequence. Using your hints, I matched 49 moves, but failed miserably in trying to optimize the "dog extraction" portion. Oh well.
