There is a onehourgamejam every Saturday at 20:00 UTC. Feel free to post your own entries here too!
60th jam (18 June 2016). The theme was Castle.
This was my first 1HGJ. I worked feverishly on the first idea that came into my head: archery. I was in such a rush that I spelled castle wrong in the title graphic! Didn't realise until after submission that you can just hold down fire to win.
Cool!
Did you think about adding trajectory on the arrows, and a delay between being able to shoot as you "reload"? As it is, I have auto fire!
It was such a frantic hour that I didn't really stop and think about anything, I just did whatever came to mind. If I'd thought about it, yh I definitely would have done a reload mechanic instead of... clouds.
62nd jam (02 July 2016). The theme was Jetpack.
My 2nd 1HGJ. Collect salvage, avoid asteroids. Timelapse.
I really like the look of Salvage. That 3D effect is fantastic. Very impressive for such a short time!
68th jam (13 August 2016). The theme was Mirror.
My 3rd 1HGJ. Mirrored movement, but had no time/ideas for puzzle design. Also wasted loads of time drawing sprites that weren't even used, instead of adding mechanics or levels. Timelapse.
74th jam (24th September 2016). The theme was Two Button Controls.
Pretty happy with this as a proof-of-concept. Unfortunately there's a bug where sometimes your newest point connects to the end which is further away, screwing you over. Timelapse video.
Fun fact: Two Button Controls was also one of the themes for Ludum Dare 34, where I made my first PICO-8 game Need For Seed: Undergrowth!
Phew ! That polygon puzzle is tricky and hard to stay alive. Reminds me a little of Star Castle.
