Hello developers!
Congratulations on a great turnout for your first commercial indev-game! I took some time to play through the intro-levels of Voxatron and am very impressed with both the quality of the game and the customized price-tag.
However, I wanted to list two suggestions that hopefully can be implemented in the near future:
- Mouse cursor so I know where I am shooting.
- Multiplayer (probably mentioned a lot of times already :P)
Keep up the good work!
Same thing here. Although I'd prefer being able to shoot with the arrow keys since 8 different directions to shoot is plenty enough in this game imo.
Also I'd love to have a shadow under my character for these platform passages.
Lastly the bosses are pretty nice I hope you'll add more of them.
Other than that, the game looks very promising keep up with the good work !
Id love multipalyer and the ability to create your own creatures in the game that would be awsome even though way harder
A cursor is an absolute must. The lack of a cursor is the only reason mouse controls are awkward.
I also want to recommend more power ups. It doesn't feel like there are any!
@SignPainter I suppose I can use those controls, but I've been so used to the mouse and WASD controls that I don't want to leave them :(
@Mr.Man The ZX and Arrow Keys are actually not that bad. It just takes sometime in getting used to. It can definitely respond to a situation faster than a mouse can.
An ability to edit powerups and monsters would make custom maps much more interesting, since we can already do so much with the current editor.
Maybe a ranking system for custom maps, and a hall of fame for the best of the best?
Do any of you play with wasd to move and the numpad for shooting? Because that's what I use and it's just perfect.
Yeah, WASD for moving and numpad for shooting works absolutely brilliant.
Is the numpad option mentioned on the sign in the first level? If not, it should be.
Multiplayer really is a must, and thanks for the cursor in 0.1.4
