A tiny silly cartridge with firework particles for the #p8jam2 :-)
Update 1.2
"Score" is shown. Not that you can anyhow alter the outcome, but it still feels kinda nice when you go over 1000. Once I scored over 1700. The thrill of it! :-)
'Z' will restart with the score shown at the end of the firework.
'X' will restart with the score visible during the process.
Update 1.1
Added more colors.
Sometimes the particles pop diagonally.
Things like these are always so satisfying, it's like the digital version of bubble wrap. Fun!
Wow, that's surprisingly mesmerizing to watch! I love how the sound starts off small, and then picks up as more start exploding.
Thank you guys! I really didn't expect this many positive comments!
BTW, I added "score" counting. 1 pop = 1 point. The user can see how well s/he "did" :-)
Nice, it's funny to feel good about the score when you just pushed a button ! I like it and hope it will become even more crazy.
Almost like a golf, yes. In a broader sense of the word which includes fireworks and being orthogonal. :-)))
NuSan: Actually, I thought I was done with this little piece but now that I'm thinking about it, I might add some controlled explosion functionality. Thank you! :-))

So simple but so beautiful, love it!
This is definitely the equivalent to bubble wrap. I spent so long just redoing and redoing to get more explosions :D
Highest I found was just over 1900 and the lowest was 57.
Alright, updated the tags accordingly. Thank you so much :-).
Confession: The maximum the code can handle is something around 2500. Then it runs out of memory :-)))
Very fun to watch! I included it in my Pico-8 Jam #2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)
Yay! Never thought this cart would make it into a game review! Thanks :)
