Here's my generic "Look everyone! I made raindrops!" cart, since the theme is rain.

If it sounds absolutely horrible, don't use the web player. The web player skips frames, which does not bode well when the raindrops themselves are playing the music.

If it still sounds absolutely horrible, I'm sorry for being terrible at music. I will try harder next time.

I had the same problem with the web player + sounds when I made my hiking cats thing. The rhythm of the sounds is different, footsteps are missed. I was thinking it was to do with rounding errors in javascript or something.

That water droplet sound is actually pretty well done.

BOOP BAP BOOP BAP

I decided to hack a drum and bass beat thing in :v I hope you don't mind. The raindrop sequencer thing was just a really fun concept.

Similar to yours it sounds way different in the web player.

Fun way to use tilemap for music !

Cool idea, glad I took the time to test it inside Pico8, it's sound so much better.

I looked at the tilemap after Benjamin's comment. That's really cool!

So many people, like solitary raindrops, they descend upon a stage to present their one small performance, evaporate, spent. Insignificant alone, but together many create a symphony from their demises, creating beauty but at such a cost. To show those who watch and listen that their sum is greater than the parts and to prove their loyalty to a cause beyond themselves. Truly inspiring.

I wish I knew how to play it out of the webbrowser. Great idea!! I included it in my Pico-8 Jam #1 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/HvKsRl4tdII

X3 You called it "perceptive percussion", and later on had "blumber shoot"... Silly!

But yeah, you can't really get the right sound out of this cart (or the awesome version solar posted) unless you click on the little thumbnail to download it as a png and then run it in the actual Pico-8 ... Which you'd have to buy for $15 if you don't already have it from owning Voxatron ... Kind of limits the audience, huh?
