super soldiers is a fun take on a gameboy type game!
to play, just press x to fire bullets, and dodge your enemies bullets by using the
arrow keys! soldiers wearing armor will take two hits, and soldiers wearing no armor take one hit.
collect powerups and achieve the highest score possible!

This is a fun and nostalgic game. Good start, as well.
I found the armored soldiers to be a bit challenging, particularly when they shoot. The screen moves a touch too fast to be able to sight -> shoot -> dodge -> sight -> shoot again; but it's a subtle difficulty.
There doesn't appear to be a penalty for just dodging them; so that is mostly what I found myself doing (until I could pickup the infinite shot powerup!).
A few technical notes:
Pressing X on the intro screen fires a shot when the game starts. There are tricks for consuming button presses between "scenes".
I also found that because of the lack of a consuming X press, if I was rapid firing and then died, I would miss my score and start a new game all in rapid succession because I was "still firing" from before I died (pressing X).
My suggestion would be: make death substantial; force the game to pause and show me the score and don't let me bypass it by continuing to fire (in essence: make it a scene change).
