First finished Pico8 experiment. This is a kind of white noise machine in the form of a mini aquarium you can change some settings for. You can tap on the glass to find some interactions with the creatures and influence their behaviors. I made it as an idle app to run on my retro handhelds while they sit on my desk. Enjoy!
Arrow keys/Directional pad = move the cursor
x key/button = click on buttons or tap on the tank to trigger "ripples"

I couldn’t figure out how to interact with it! But the jellyfish is gorgeous :) could you supply some instructions?
Neat toy! A couple things that I thought of while playing with it:
- Since you interact with this with a cursor, adding mouse support would make it much easier and more natural to interact with
- It is possible to tap the water so many times that the particles slow down the whole thing significantly, so a limit on particle count for performance's sake would be nice
It would also be cool to have multiple jellyfish if possible, but that's less of an issue and more of a preference.
Besides that, it's pretty cool!
