I discovered the Thumby Color recently, a follow up on the original Thumby. After looking at the specs, I couldn't help but wonder if it would be well-suited to playing PICO-8 games. It's got a color screen now, and a 128x128 pixel screen (!), running on a raspberry pi. I'm not super familar with running PICO-8 on anything other than windows, but I'm willing to figure it out if it looks like this could work.
Has anyone else taken a look at doing this? Any idea how hard it would be?

I don't know about the technical feasibility (looks like this runs a Raspberry Pi RP2350 Processor, for what that's worth), but I would definitely be interested in this. I got the first gen Thumby, but the controls are just too small, this looks significantly more usable.
That device is super adorable but it looks like a nightmare to play. I don’t have an answer to your question. But if you’re looking for a device to play pico-8 on, I recently got a miyoo mini plus and it works great despite not having the same 128x128 resolution as pico.
Tech specs say it has 520kb of RAM, which seems like it would be well short of what you need to run PICO-8.
