Played the first 4 levels.
Mini map is very useful, graphic are nice, but there's no challenge so far.
Enemies stayed red and slow pretty much all the time, so I treated them more like slow moving item pickups than like threats. Most upgrades also felt meaningless : what good is a shield if enemies are no threat ? I'll continue playing another day and see how things go. So far, I only ran out of light for a few seconds so far, and the only item I'm glad to get is the shoes. (aside from the sword and fire that are more "energy" type of bonuses and just should be taken later than sooner if possible for maximal gain).
The end of level score screen seems interesting to look at to know if you've been doing good or not, but it's gone automatically before you get to read it fully. Please wait for a non directional button press before skipping it.
The number of zeroes in the score is pretty scary, unless there's an exponential score multiplier somewhere, there's absolutely no chance to fill that during a human lifespan at the current rate...
Thanks for the feedback! :) I may have gone a little wild trying to scale up the difficulty over 36 levels. It is a very slow difficulty curve indeed.
I took a note to let people decide when the "end of level" page close.
The score also get a multiplier bonus by level, but 12 digits might be a little over the top. Was playing with number bigger than 32k.
For the upgrades, as far as my memory goes, in the original game, they only gave points. I tried to give "useful" powers, but the possibilities are very limited :D
Thanks again for feedback! love it!
