A halloween game for Kyle and Andrew <3
For those confused about the controls: you need to hold arrows + ❎ to move.
Atmospheric game, visual reminiscent of 8bit graphics made out of reconfigured characters and color attributes. Passages between rooms not always clear. Weapon upgrades sometimes felt like downgrades : I'd rather hit less hard than getting a slower attack and die. Level system felt unclear, in the end, I just focused on red=more life, as the effect of other upgrades were unclear. Maybe add a custom pause menu with stats and inventory ?
Final battle was fun, not used to infinite lives and boss not healing.Had problems navigating the tombstones near the end, since smashing one invariably led to my death during animation.
I think I missed the area over the starting point. Maybe reachable with the final character if you avoid winning ?
Lots of items with unclear effects : (books, text, skull, gems, roots...)
Also didn't figure out when doors are destroy-able or not.

From the screen with the giant skeleton, I somehow moved diagonally into the final boss battle.
Managed to win, and then got trampled by the four red rats in the screenshot.
I respawned a few screens away, did the few remaining screens with difficulty, as the final form is pretty bad for fighting. Died a lot against the hammer guy, took his weapon, and reached the final screen, except it's blocked... I think that's a softlock.
