Graphics issue
To fix this issue. Fully close the Pico-8 after load the game up. Load the game again. All fine after that.
Whoa seems like your initial issue ignores everything drawn with one-off characters + is messing up font data.
Basically everything which is defined using the full p8scii 0-255 charset, only sprites and map data seems intact.
I have the same version, loaded both ways using load #thunder_castle-3
and from splore but it worked. I have no idea what could cause this.
