Smash The Scorpions!
A silly game for Ludum Dare 56, the theme of which is "Tiny Creatures."
Directions to move. Any action button to swing your hammer. See how long you can last!

stupid maybe but it moves really well, the impacts are well rendered...good gamefeel
"stupid" and "gamefeel" were my goals here, so thanks lol. Was also going for "gross" and "unnecessary".
It certainly is a bit stupid. But yeah good game, Just wondering, why does that guy hate scorpions?
@roverart I used to live outside Phoenix, in the US Southwest desert. Scorpions were a common pest. The bark scorpion is native to the region, and it is known for two things:
- It has no skin pigmentation, so they appear white and glow under a blacklight (creepy!).
- They are the only known scorpion in the world whose sting can be lethal to humans, although it's been a few decades since someone died.
These little buggers sneak into your house all the time, and they love to sleep in soft things like clothes drawers and towels. I never got stung, but I've heard it's pretty brutal. Anyways, there are lots of remedies for getting rid of them, but whenever I would find one I would get my mallet and just smash it. "It's the only way to be sure."
So, this game is a bit autobiographical. They explode a bit more fantastically in the game than in real life.
