The Marble Cup is the most prestigious racing competition, and every sixty seconds twelve of the greatest mice come together and compete for the glory, and a chance at the coveted Crimson Crown!
I built a whole physics engine for Momo's Momentum, which I lost motivation on after releasing one level. But I wanted to use the tech to make a marble racing simulation. It's like cocomelon to me.
- A new race every 60 seconds, generated using the date and time as a seed
- No gameplay, just watch and have fun :)
- 12 marble multiball action
- The winner of each race receives a crown for the next one
- Use up/down arrow keys for manual camera control
- Press Z/X to toggle a zoomed-out view and see the whole course!
Haha, this is really cool! I keep not getting a new race though, I think because mice are stalled out in the course. Nice physics and bouncing animations, and I like how each mouse has some personality!
That's what I get for not testing on the cartridge.... I forgot that Load doesn't work.
I would probably suggest editing the finish timer so that the marbles which cross the finish line and then cross it backwards aren't removed from the scoreboard.
New udpate! I fixed a bug where the trails weren't showing up correctly; and I changed the race logic so that marbles that un-cross the finish line don't un-finish.
This is awesome!
I would really love to be able to follow a particular marble so that I can cheer them up!
This is wonderful. Its quite hypnotic in a way. I watched race after race of mice falling down a track...Then one being given a little crown. And they all race again. What am I doing with my life?!?
Normally I'd be asking for more presentation, such as a title screen, options to chose the number of mice, allow watching people to bet, etc., but I feel in this case it may remove the purity of every 60 seconds a new race starts and the mice race again. And this repeats forever.
I love this cart. Wonderful to watch and interact with. Love the little touch of the crown.
